Camp Participation Agreement
By checking the box below, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
I understand that participation in ROOTS Academy programs involves physical activity that carries inherent risks. I voluntarily assume all risks and release ROOTS Academy, its owners, employees, and instructors from any claims or damages arising from participation. In case of emergency, I authorize ROOTS Academy to seek medical treatment if I cannot be reached.
2. Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 30+ days before camp start: Full refund minus $50 processing fee
- Cancellations within 30 days: 50% refund
- After camp begins: Non-refundable
- No refunds for missed classes due to illness, vacation, weather, or personal reasons
3. Event Cancellation by ROOTS
ROOTS Academy reserves the right to cancel camps not meeting minimum enrollment. Cancellation decisions will be made at least 2 weeks prior with full refund issued.
4. Photo & Video Release
I grant permission for ROOTS Academy to use my child's image, video, and name in promotional materials and social media. To opt out, email dance@rootsacademy.com before camp begins.

Are you looking for a fun-filled, imaginative adventure for your little animal lover? Look no further than our Zootopia Dance Camp! Designed especially for curious and energetic preschoolers ages 4–6, this camp invites children into a lively world inspired by their favorite characters and music from Zootopia. Throughout the week, dancers will stomp, hop, leap, and groove as we transform the dance floor into a bustling animal city—full of playful movement, upbeat music, and endless imagination.
Campers will enjoy a variety of engaging activities each day, including dancing, singing, themed crafts, and interactive games that bring the world of Zootopia to life. From pretending to race through Zootopia’s streets to moving like their favorite animal characters, children will build confidence, coordination, and creativity in a warm and welcoming environment. Our instructors are dedicated to making every dancer feel supported, encouraged, and excited to explore all the camp has to offer.
Students will experience:
- Enjoy daily animal-themed crafts, games, and activities inspired by the world of Zootopia.
- Build confidence and creativity through imaginative dancing, singing, and movement each day.
- Shine in a special Zootopia-themed showcase performance for family and friends at the end of the week.
Performance details:
At the end of the week (Friday!), families are invited to attend a special Zootopia Showcase where our young dancers will perform a short, joyful routine highlighting the fun they’ve had throughout the camp. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their growth, imagination, and all the new dance skills they’ve learned along the way.
- Cancellations at least one month before the event start date are eligible for a refund in the original form of payment, minus a $50 processing fee.
- Cancellations within one month of the event start date will receive a 50% refund in the original form of payment.
- Once the event begins, fees are non-refundable.
- ROOTS Academy does not issue refunds for missed classes due to illness, vacations, weather, or other personal reasons.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who will be teaching my child at camp?
The ROOTS camp staff includes a dedicated group of vetted and experienced teachers. Most are year-round ROOTS mentors, but some have been hired specifically for their camp because of their expertise in the summer camp topic.
What are the guidelines for drop-off and pick-up times?
You may drop off your child 15 minutes prior to the start of the camp. Pick-up should be promptly arranged at the camp's scheduled end time. Please note that we do not offer after-camp care services.
What is your refund policy?
In the event that you need to cancel your student's enrollment in a camp, a refund is available under specific conditions.
Registration, Withdrawal, & Reimbursement Policy:
- Payment for camp is due in full at the time of registration.
- Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to camp will receive a refund for the cost of the camp minus a $50 processing fee.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of a camp's start date are only eligible for a refund of 50% of the camp cost.
Do I need to be enrolled at ROOTS to attend camp?
No, it's not required to be currently enrolled at ROOTS to register for one of our summer camps. We welcome everyone!
Will there be a performance?
At the conclusion of all ROOTS Camps, with the exception of the Dance Intensive, we organize a performance that highlights the skills and knowledge acquired by the students throughout the camp.
Should my child bring lunch?
Some camps will run through lunchtime and will require students to bring a packed lunch. ROOTS will provide snacks for camps. We have water dispensers stationed around the studio, and we encourage students to bring refillable water bottles.
