Musical Theatre Summer Intensive - Peter Pan, Jr
Shine On Stage in Peter Pan Jr. this Summer!
REGISTERDETAILS AT a glance
Fly into an unforgettable summer at ROOTS as we present Peter Pan JR.! Our three-week Musical Theatre Summer Intensive invites performers ages 8–18 to step into the magical world of Neverland while developing their skills in dance, voice, and acting. No prior experience is required—everyone who participates will be cast in the show!
This immersive program begins with auditions on Saturday, June 27th (reserve 9:00 AM–5:00 PM). Audition materials will be sent out in May to help every performer feel confident and prepared. If you have a conflict with the audition date, no worries—video submissions will be accepted.
Rehearsals run Monday through Friday, July 13th–24th, from 1:00–5:00 PM at ROOTS. Because this is an intensive, consistent attendance and daily at-home practice are essential. Students will be expected to review lines, lyrics, and choreography outside of rehearsal to ensure a polished and professional final performance.
On Saturday, July 25th (9:00 AM–1:00 PM), students will attend our special Costume + Headshot Day—a fun and memorable part of the production process! Costume needs for each character will be sent home after casting, and dancers will be asked to bring required items to the studio by their assigned date.
Mandatory Dress/Tech rehearsals will be held July 27th–August 2nd (reserve 12:00–9:00 PM each day). Exact call times will be provided after auditions.

What are the guidelines for drop-off and pick-up times, and is after-camp care available?
You may drop off your child 15 minutes prior to the start of the camp. Pick-up should be promptly arranged at the camp’s scheduled end time. Please note that we do not offer after-camp care services.
What is the procedure and policy for withdrawing a student from a camp, and are refunds available?
In the event that you need to cancel your student’s enrollment in a camp, a refund is available under specific conditions.
Registration, Withdrawal, & Reimbursement Policy:
- Payment for camp is due in full at the time of registration.
- Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to camp, will receive a refund for the cost of the camp minus a $50 processing fee.

Is current enrollment in lessons or classes at ROOTS a requirement for participating in a camp?
No, it’s not required to be currently enrolled at ROOTS to register for one of our summer camps. We welcome everyone, regardless of whether they are a part of our regular programs. We’d be delighted to have you join us for summer camps, even if you’re not a current student!
Will there be an opportunity to view my child’s accomplishments during the camp?
At the conclusion of all ROOTS Camps, with the exception of the Dance Intensive, we organize a performance that highlights the skills and knowledge acquired by the students throughout the camp. The specifics of each performance may differ depending on the camp and will be communicated in detail as the camp dates approach.
Will my student need to bring a lunch, snack, or drink to camp with them?
Some camps will run through lunchtime and will require students to bring a packed lunch. Make sure you read through your camp’s description to see if lunch will be needed. ROOTS will provide snacks for camps.
We have water dispensers stationed around the studio, and we encourage students to bring refillable water bottles.
Which camps would be most suitable for my child who is new to dance?
The selection of an appropriate camp for your child primarily depends on their age. We offer a range of camps designed to cater to students between the ages of 4 to 18 years. Each camp is tailored to be age-appropriate and engaging, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for beginners in dance.
